Frequently Asked Questions

1.Is there a sign-up or user fee for using RecruVia to search and apply to jobs?

RecruVia is free for candidates to use. There are no hidden costs or charges and we don’t require credit or debit card information. In fact we offer candidates a sign-up bonus or a referral bonus in certain circumstances.

2.How do I view available jobs?

Recruvia renders a curated job-matching function, enabling you to view the right jobs as per stated previous experience and current requirements. For viewing available jobs, you must first complete the sign-up process and create a profile using our resume builder. RecruVia will process the information you input to show you the most relevant jobs, if any.

3.How do I sign-up?

After completing the initial sign-up verification process, you will need to create a profile using our resume builder. The sign-up process can take less than 10 minutes to complete with our drop-down menus and multiple selection checkboxes to streamline your inputs. You can also edit/update your profile at any time.

4.Can I access RecruVia from any device?

Recruvia’s website is mobile friendly and compatible with all major browsers. But it is probably easier to set up a profile for the first time while accessing the RecruVia platform from a desktop or laptop. Once this is wrapped-up, one can view and apply for jobs, track applications, etc., on an on-going basis through mobile devices.

5.Can I apply to multiple jobs?

There is no limit on the number of jobs you can apply to. RecruVia aims to show you only relevant jobs, depending on your experience, skill-sets, interests, etc. You will be able to apply to all the jobs that are viewable by you.

6.Can employers view my profile?

Employers cannot view your profile unless you specifically apply to jobs posted by a particular employer. The platform helps ensure that your profile is only forwarded to people who you’re interested in applying to.

7.My current employer is on RecruVia, can they see my profile or know that I’m interested in switching jobs?

In case you are matched with job(s) posted by your current employer, even if you click on ‘View Job’ your information will not be displayed to the employer. The only way your employer will know that you’re on the platform, is if you actually apply for a job posted by them, which you obviously won't do!

8.What kind of opportunities will I find on RecruVia?

Candidates can find a broad range of opportunities across all practice areas and PQE levels; there are positions available in law firms as well as in-house. We are working to grow our roster of employers so that you have the widest possible choice.

9.I’m not interested in leaving my current job, so is there any point to signing up?

It’s always good to keep your eyes on market opportunities because you never know whether something even better may be in store for you. What better than having all of your resume related information organized and available at a snap of a finger and also having the ability to discreetly scope the market?

10.What if there are no jobs that meet my current requirements and/or what if my experience, skills, etc. evolve over time?

RecruVia uses the information that you provide on sign-up to check whether or not you’re a potential match to jobs that have been posted based on requirements of each employer. In case you cannot view any jobs, please check back in a few days as there may be more opportunities available then. Also, as your experience increases either because you modify your resume or simply because you entered a start date to your current job and RecruVia keeps adding months of continuous employment, new suitable jobs may appear on your dashboard over a period of time.

11.When do I receive the signing up bonus?

You should inform us as soon as you receive a job through RecruVia (we will find out in any case, but there is no harm in specifically telling us!). After you clear any mandatory probation period that may be specified in your retainer/employment contract with the employer (and there are no clawbacks on our fee) and provided your employer has paid us our fee, we will promptly pay your signing-bonus to you; hopefully with some other goodies thrown-in for good measure! Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details.

* The payment will be made subject to you providing any necessary tax related information and subject to any applicable tax deductions.

12.What is the referral program and how does it work?

If a person you referred signs-up to RecruVia using the referral code that was generated when you referred the person, and such person goes on to successfully get a job (and clear probation – i.e., associated fee is no longer subject to any clawback), we will pay you a referral fee as a token of thanks. This is in addition to the signing-bonus that your referee will receive! It is, however, important to keep in mind that a person that you refer may also be referred by someone else, therefore, the code that is inserted will determine which referrer gets the payment. Also, the person you referred may not use the code that was generated and may simply wish to sign-up independently. In such a case too, you will not receive a referral payment. To summarise, the person whose code has been inserted shall be the recipient of the referral fee on successful completion, so please make sure your code is entered to receive the bonus. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details.

* The payment will be made subject to you providing any necessary tax related information and subject to any applicable tax deductions.

13.Can I receive multiple referral bonuses?

Absolutely! There is no limit on how many persons you can refer to RecruVia. As long as the persons you refer use the relevant code and find and retain a job through RecruVia, we will pay you a referral fee on the first such successful job of each relevant referred person. This is a one-time payment and if the people you have referred uses RecruVia again to secure a second, third or fourth job in the future, then you will not receive any payment for such subsequent placements.

* The payment will be made subject to you providing any necessary tax related information and subject to any applicable tax deductions.

14.Why is it important to keep my profile up-to-date?

RecruVia will show you jobs that are relevant for you. The more up-to-date and precise information that is submitted into the platform, the better the chances of the platform suggesting relevant openings. The more accurate the openings, the greater your chance of securing the job once applied. It all starts with what you insert and how you update and monitor such information.

15.How do I de-activate or delete my account?

You may easily deactivate or delete your account at any time by accessing the ‘settings’ option on your dashboard. When you click on the ‘de-activate’ button, it will activate a pop-up with a standard de-activation template using the in-built message functionality. Once you click send, the message will be sent to our support team who will remove your account from our servers. If you wish to specifically contact us for anything else, such as change in email address or technical issues, you can always use the ‘Drop us a note’ feature. We’re always happy to help.

3.How can an employer post jobs on the platform?

5.How can an employer track development in relation to posted jobs?

The RecruVia platform has a number of features which allows an employer to manage all information and applications received across a number of open roles. By standardising cvs and profiles and categorising information, RecruVia provides employers handy tools to make sense of seemingly large amounts of data.

6.What if an employer is inundated with too many applications?

Each job opening will only be seen by candidates who are suitable for the role. Therefore, even if an employer is inundated with too many applications, the likelihood of the applications coming from irrelevant or unsuitable applicants is relatively low.

That said, we are continuing to fine tune the functionality and we appreciate that in the initial days of RecruVia some of the applications may be less relevant than others.

In light of this, as an additional tool, the RecruVia platform provides employers with various tools to easily and quickly sort and arrange data in applications in a manner that makes it easy to work through applications.

7.Can an employer browse through profiles of candidates who have signed-up to RecruVia?

No. As a measure of our respect to a professional's need for confidentiality, an employer will not be able to generally browse through profile and an employer will only receive profiles of specific candidates who have applied for a job posted by the employer.
